Men...

How can we forget the wonderful men in our lives? Our husbands, our fathers, our brothers our friends.

They are amazing people.

I'm especially lucky to be married to such an amazing human being. Selfless and patient. He always treats me like a queen, his equal and his best friend. He has given me to opportunity to (re)discover my artistic side and my love for jewelry and for that I am truly thankful. He doesn't even mock my weird taste for chips and chocolate (yes, together)  In short, he Rocks my Socks off...

Baby, I know I say this a million times a day and I still feel like it isn't enough...I Love You!
I think we should dedicate a post to the guys in our lives, we give them grief sometimes, but they do love us so.

Baby, I dedicate this post to you! You are my Captain Awesome!!

Smoldering Elegance - Till Guitars no. 133Smoldering Elegance - Till Guitars no. 133 by joetill
If you were to walk into our home, you will find four guitars proudly displayed in our living room. When we were younger, he used to play the guitar for me quite often. Later, when an ocean separated, he used to play it over the phone so I was able to sleep. I think this guitar would fit in nicely with his collection. Reading the Shop Announcement for this Etsy store is nothing short of inspiring. I think I'll start saving my money and maybe I'll be able to surprise my husband with this guitar.

My hubby is a technology junkie. If its the latest, if it's the fastest, the most recent model, he has it. Pretty soon he will be purchasing...yes, you guess it, the iPad. He has to have it, and I just can't say no. I think he will look trendy and stylish with tis cover. I really enjoy the cover including the craftmanship. It suits him. Babe, as soon as you get your iPad, I'll purchase this cover for you. That type of investement need hip protection.

Red...

"Red is the ultimate cure for sadness"--Bill Blass

I couldn't of said that better myself. Red, what a strong, bold color!

Fun facts about the color red
  • Red is the color of the base or root chakra
  • Mentally: Red stimulates energy
  • Physically: Red increases enthusiasm
  • Red is the color for beauty in many languages
Wow, what a color! It also happens to be one of my friends favorite color, Georgia, who's middle name, oddly enough, is Rose! Well, Georgia, you beautiful, strong, vibrant woman, this blog post is for you!

Red, no matter who you are, evokes a strong reaction within. Ever heard of 'don't wear white or RED to a wedding that's not your own'? You don't want to take attention away from the bride.

Ever heard of painting your door red for good luck? Betcha have!

Well, let's see what goodies Etsy has for us that can stimulate us mentally and physically...

Polka Dot Red and White SetPolka Dot Red and White Set by seekimrun
When I was back home in Miami, Georgia and I traditionally set out for Cuban coffee every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. During the week, I would sometimes have coffee at her place. How I wish I would of seen this set for her birthday. She would of loved it! (Do you like it Georgia?) In an instant you feel at home with this vintage creamer and sugar set.

I love roses, what girl doesn't (take notes guys!), and of course, so does Georgia Rose. What's better than giving roses that will die in a week? A painting of beautiful roses that will last forever. I'm truly in love with this painting. The colors in the painting look so vibrant and evoke a sense of happiness in an instant. Georgia, if you are reading this, you need to put this up in your apartment. This SCREAMS Georgia Rose. Oh, and better yet, it's a one of a kind item! Looking at this shop, this artist is truly inspiring. Amazing stuff.

Quiz time: What's the fastest way to dress up, dress down, or change and outfit completely? DUH! Add a scarf! This 100% Haboti Silk scarf is a definite must have for anybody. Georgia: You want it? I know you want it! Are you taking out your credit card and hitting that 'Add to Cart' button on the upper right hand corner? I know you are. You are getting one for me too? How sweet of you! Can I have the lavender one please since you are already getting the red one? You are so generous! THANK YOU :)

Not your usual Wine Bottle Gift BagNot your usual Wine Bottle Gift Bag by totesbycharlotte
I think I'm going to buy like 20 of these. The gift bag is like a gift within its self. I KNOW it's supposed to be a wine bottle gift bag, but what's stopping it from being a tote for the spring, or the summer? Or when you want to take a book, a bottle of water and an apple and sit in the park and read? You give this as a gift to a host or anyone else and they will be all over you like white on rice <---yeah, I said it! GEORGIA: You know you want this one too. I'll tell you what...get it, and I'll provide the wine when I get back. I think this bag is such a great idea. Check out the store, they even have monogrammed bottle gift bag. WHAT? Yeah, that's right. FYI: My birthday is less than a month away..you could totally purchase this for me.

Hello Fellow Etsians...

I must apologize because I have NOT been keeping up with you or my blog.
Living in another country where you are not familiar with the language has it's ups and downs. Unfortunately, I was a bit down, BUT,  yesterday I spent time with an amazing person and actually got inspired and fired up to update my blog, my inventory and start working on more of my jewelry.

For those of you that don't know, I make my own jewelry and have an Etsy shop of my own. The Etsy store is RememberLove.etsy.com .

Smokey Chocolate
Here is a sample of one of my pieces. I call it "Smokey Chocolate".

Since starting this blog I had my first sale and I am up to sale number 4. I am very excited about this since I felt a bit of validation. Starting an Etsy shop (as many of you know), is no easy task. With so many wonderful shops and talented artists, it's hard  to stand out amongst the masses. My advice: HANG IN THERE! You will sell your first piece, and once you do, you won't be able to get the ball to STOP rolling. I heard somewhere that it takes about up to 2 to 3 months to get your first sale...YIKES! But don't worry, keep up your marketing and continue posting those pieces, you'll get there.

Once (and when) I reach my 1000 sale, I'm having a big party <---that's my goal for this year, call it a "mid -year new year resolution" if you will.

Now, in honor of our new Etsians and those still needed their first sale, I'm going to dedicate this post to our "POUNCE'" feature on Etsy, "UNDISCOVERED" and see what we can find. Shall we...
